Over new yrs we exchange gifts with my friends up north. Here some of the ornaments that I received from them. I couldn't love them more.

These are only 2 of the 6 we got from Dawn and Mike but they are all like this. One is really dark (resembling Juwon) and one is much lighter (resembling me)! I thought it was so funny and adorable!

A while back we got to baby sit Ally & Spencer. While they were here Ally wanted to bake so we made lots of banana bread

She was a big girl and ran the mixer all by her self!

I told Ally, Auntie likes cinnamon so make sure you put enough in. So she held it up side down and beat the bottom till I told her to stop. It was so cute!

Wow it has been forever since I posted on here! Some bullets to catch you up on what is going on around here:
*Juwon is working part time for a staffing agency. I am not particularly thrilled with the hrs (3rd shift) but money is money.
*I still LOVE my job! Every day I go I find myself laughing at some thing that is said or done.
*I did a ton of knitting over the last 2 months. I made A LOT of Christmas presents for people this year. They all turned out so nice. But I am glad that now I can knit and not have to be rushed in to getting some thing done in a time line. I can leisurely knit now.
*Juwon had his appointment with Social Security. Hopefully we hear something soon.

There is just a few things. But we hope everyone had a great and happy holiday season. We sure did.
Thank you to all our friends and family for all you have done for us.

On Wed. we went to take a visit to Matt & Ashley to see them. Well Matt worked late so he wasn't there until about 20 min before we were leaving. But we did get to see Ashley and the kiddos. We visited with Ash for a bit, then made dinner, and went for a walk. Then played some more with the kids. I didn't have my camera with me so I used my phone camera to catch some pictures of while we were there.

Today Ashley brought the kids over for J and I to watch while her and mom had a girls morning out for a while. I just love watching these kids! Here are some of Ally I got. Sightseeing Saturday

On Saturday Talia and Julie came down early in the morning and spent the day with Juwon and I. We relaxed for a little bit at home before heading out to Port Washington. We had a picnic which was disrupted by some pesky bees. We then walked out to the light house and then walked around the town and did some minor shopping and wine tasting.

It was super windy that day when we were out by the light house so Talia and Juwon were hanging on for dear life so they wouldnt be blown in to the water. lol

After leaving Port we headed for Cedarburg. After getting lost a few times we found our way. We hit up some more local shops and just relaxed and checked out Cedarburg before heading to Maxwell's for some WINGS!!! They were SO good.

Talia wanted me to take a picture of her pretending to jump. News flash, it doesnt look like your jumping Tally! lol

Projects over due...

I have been trying to work on some projects that I have wanted to get done for SOOOO long and I just kept putting them off. Well the time has come to put my butt in gear and get stuff done.
A while back I had purchased those wall stickers with intentions of making different types of decor with them, instead of just sticking them to the wall, so I can take them with me when I move.
Well here is one of the projects that I just did. It is almost finished. I would like to put some more pictures up around it but I think it looks good.

The center piece is the sticker, and I added the frames around it. I just love the way it looks in my living room!!! :)

***I found someone who makes me beyond happy. He is always making me smile and does the world for me.

***I have been cutting back my trips up north to save on gas, but if anyone wants to come visit me my door is always open! :)

***I have made many new friends down here who are helping me adjust to the area. I am thoroughly enjoying life down here.

***To be honest, life is really relaxed and calm down here that I dont really have a whole lot new in the last two months. LOL...may seem boring to some people but it feels really good to me!

I received this in an email today and thought I would share it because I enjoyed it so much. Enjoy...

There was a young woman who had been diagnosed with a terminal illness and had been given three months to live. So as she was getting her things 'in order,' she contacted her Pastor and had him come to her house to discuss certain aspects of her final wishes.

She told him which songs she wanted sung at the service, what scriptures she would like read, and what outfit she wanted to be buried in.

Everything was in order and the Pastor was preparing to leave when the young woman suddenly said excitedly, 'There's one more thing,'

'What's that?' came the Pastor's reply.

'This is very important,' the young woman continued. 'I want to be buried with a fork in my right hand.'

The Pastor stood looking at the young woman, not knowing quite what to say.

That surprises you, doesn't it?' the young woman asked.

'Well, to be honest, I'm puzzled by the request,' said the Pastor.

The young woman explained. 'My grandmother once told me this story, and from that time on I have always tried to pass along its message to those I love and those who are in need of encouragement. In all my years of attending socials and dinners, I always remember that when the dishes of the main course were being cleared, someone would inevitably lean over and say, 'Keep your fork.' It was my favorite part because I knew that something better was coming...like velvety chocolate cake or deep-dish apple pie. Something wonderful, and with substance!'

So, I just want people to see me there in that casket with a fork in my hand and I want them to wonder 'What's with the fork?' Then I want you to tell them: 'Keep your fork ..the best is yet to come.'

The Pastor's eyes welled up with tears of joy as he hugged the young woman good-bye. He knew this would be one of the last times he would see her before her death. But he also knew that the young woman had a better grasp of heaven than many people twice her age. She KNEW that something better was coming.

At the funeral, as people were walking by the young woman's casket they saw the cloak she was wearing and the fork placed in her right hand. Over and over, the Pastor heard the question, 'What's with the fork?'

During his message, the Pastor told the people about the fork and about what it symbolized to her. He told the people how he could not stop thinking about the fork and told them that they probably would not be able to stop thinking about it either.

He was right. So the next time you reach down for your fork let it remind you, ever so gently, that the best is yet to come.

From Waupaca! I have officially turned over the keys to my apartment in Waupaca today! I am kind of sad only because I LOVED that place. If I could take it with me I surely would. But I am excited for this new chapter in my life to begin. I will be moving in to my new apartment Thursday. Right now I am currently bouncing between Matt & Ashley's House and Mom & Dad's House. I can't wait to be back in my own bed!
Thanks to both Ashley & Matt, as well as Mom & Dad for letting me crash with them for a while! I will try get pictures of my new place soon.

I have been super busy with so much lately that I haven't been able to think about the negative stuff that has happened over the past few months/weeks/days...Well for some reason tonight it all hit me, like a ton of bricks! There is so much that I need to accomplish in the next few weeks that I feel like my head is spinning and I am going crazy! My to-do list just keeps getting longer and longer and I am wishing I would run out of paper to write it on!...lol

Few bullets about my progress...

*I am officially done with Aurora and am currently working in Slinger with my new job. It is a big change from what I am use to but I have enjoyed it so far.

* I found the apartment that I am hoping to rent, after a long and exhausting search I am happy with this one. It is a two bedroom upper, right off the main drag in West Bend. I have room for company if any one wants to come visit!!!

*I am really getting to know the West Bend area more and more every time I go there and love it more and more every time! I have met a few super nice people who are willing to show me around and introduce me to people. It is going to be a nice change of pace down there!

*I am having some issues with a couple people up here who are not happy about me moving south. I try and try to explain to people why I am doing it but they just dont seem to understand my point of view. Yes, I will miss my wonderful family and friends that I have up north but I need to do this for myself. I will come back up to visit and I will have room for visitors down by me!!!!!!!!!!! You guys are always welcome, you know this!

*Ally Bug seems to be super excited that Auntie is moving closer to her. I have explained to her that I am moving super close and for a while she thought I would be living with them. I explained that I will have my own place just a short distance away and she can come and spend the night with Bucko. She was game for that! Just the thought of that makes me so happy!!!

*Finally, I got a new couch, chair, two end tables and coffee table off of craigslist the other day! It is microfiber and a dark plum color. I am super excited to get it in to my new place. BUT now I have to get rid of my current stuff. If anyone knows who is looking for a nice couch and love seat let me know.

Last weekend I went down to Matt & Ashley's AGAIN! It is nice to go there and then doing what I have to get done down there when it comes to moving and what not. Anyways, Friday night Matt and Ashley went out for a date night while I watched the kids. It was so much fun they were both wonderful! When they got back Ally was still up and we played some more and watched some TV before Ally went to be. These are pictures from Friday night, didnt take any more through out the weekend. We went rummaging on Saturday, but didnt get much due to the rain and it being just too darn yucky outside. Sunday we vegged for a while before I came home. So I have decided to leave Waupaca and start new if you wanna say! I am staying in WI but am planning on moving down towards West Bend area. I always loved that area when Matt & Ashley lived there, well now I am hoping to call that place home in the next few months! I have been looking for jobs all over the area down there and have interviews after interviews! Many of the jobs are very promising and I will be making WAY more than I am now so it is a plus! I will keep you all posted!

Today's interview went good, normal interview! They will call me back with in a week, fingers crossed something happens.
BUT...
I called a place that is located in West Bend today to see if they are hiring and the lady wanted to interview me before I got off the phone with her! I haven't even turned in an application with them yet! So Thursday now I have an interview in West Bend with this company! Good luck to me!...lol

A few of my friends have recently gotten tattoos and it has given me the itch to one too. I want one that means something to me, not just a random one. This requires a lot of thought for me!!! I found this tattoo on line and I think it will be amazing for me to get with my sisters. I am trying to talk Ashley in to it, Tally I knew wouldn't be a problem (after her last one she was already planning for another). I just love the looks of this one!

I knitted a hat for Melanie's son Brent and for some reason it was WAY WAY too big on him. We were joking around and told him all he needed was dreads to complete the look. Well Melanie out of the blue and started to make them and I attached them to the hat. We laughed so hard while making it and made Eric try it on when we were done and of course we took turns as well. I am so making everyone who comes to my house try it on and get a picture with it. It is so funny to me!

I am so proud of myself. I have been working on knitting a hat for Spencer and Ally for their birthdays and I was concerned I wouldn't have them done by then due to me not really knowing how to do them, but I have figured it out and they are BOTH done now! They are so cute! I am actually working on my 3rd one for my friends son right now. Now that I know what I am doing they only take me about 3 days total if I get enough time. I don't have pictures right now but I will get some up by this weekend! I am so happy and love them so much I don't know if I can wait till March to give them to them. Maybe when I see them next weekend they can have part of their birthday present early!!!

So I have really been enjoying my knitting that I have been doing. It is so relaxing for me and I love the way it looks. I am teaching myself new stitches and am attempting a hat right now, well have to see how that turns out.

Wow can you believe it is almost the end of January already! This year is off and going great, well sort of...

***I have recently found out that I have anxiety. It is not very sever but enough to be a major bother when I am trying to be productive. I have been doing some natural remedies to get it under control (aroma therapy is amazing)

***To help the anxiety I have picked up a new hobby that really relaxes me. I have been knitting and crocheting, (my wonderful brother-in-law says I look like a senior citizen) but it really helps me relax and I really enjoy doing it. I am not the greatest at is right now but I figure in due time my work will get better. I am currently working on scarfs for Alexus and Spencer, hopefully they will turn out because they are their birthday presents!

***I have been trying to lose weight by changing my daily habits and over the last 6-9 months (not exactly sure due to not really try too hard at first) I have lost 57 lbs and counting. My friend Melanie and I have been doing "power" walks on days that we are together and I feel amazing after it. If anyone wants to join let us know, we are always up for more company!

***Last but certainly not least, Durell should be coming home with in a few weeks. Not sure of when exactly but it is soon and I am beyond excited!!!

I received pillows for Christmas from my wonderful sister Tally! I as in some major need of new pillows and Tally got me 4 new ones!!! YEA! Thanks you Talia, they are so comfy!
And from my other two wonderful siblings I received pictures frames, lots and lots of picture frames!!! I have a very large, long wall in my apartment and need to do something with it. Being the loving siblings that Carson and Ashley are they listen to me and got me the frames I needed. I am doing a huge photography collage on that wall (I will post pictures when completed) and needed frames!
I hope everyone has as fabulous time as I did on Christmas. Thanks again to my wonderful siblings for the much needed stuff! Love you all! :)

New Addiction...

I am totally addicted to Little Big Planet for Playstation 3. It has rag dolls as characters and you can dress them up in so many different ways and they do all kinds of challenges! It is so much fun! Thank goodness I don't have a PS3 at home or I would never leave. I blame this addiction on Melanie!!!! If you ever get a chance to play it, it is a MUST!!!
Another addiction I recently started is drinking tea. I love iced tea but didn't really drink hot tea but I love it now. I just need to get a tea ball for my house and I will be set. My favorite now is White Plum Tea! AMAZING!!!

Wish me luck on my trip up to New Richmond this weekend! It is a long ride but soooo worth it!

Not Too Much Here...

besides staying busy with work. Does anyone need a job working with the developmentally disabled? I know a place that is hiring!!! Don't get me wrong the overtime is amazing but we are all beyond tired from the hours.

Moving on, on Thursday night at 9:30pm me and a couple friends headed out to go shopping for black Friday, we didn't get back home until 7:30pm Friday night! 22 hours of shopping really takes it out of ya. I did complete A LOT of shopping that I needed to do and got some amazing deals, which makes it so worth it!

I am looking forward to mid January which is coming up super fast!!! :) Other than that my life is pretty routine for now!

So on Saturday I headed to New Richmond to visit Durell. After a 3 1/2 hr drive I was there. Long story short, as I was on my way home I was talking with Melanie and hopped on the highway and started my long drive home. Well about 5 minutes into my drive I realized I was just crossing the boarder in to Minnesota! I had gotten on the wrong way and headed west instead of east. After making my drive longer by 5 minutes, I turned around and headed home. I need to invest in a GPS system!!!!

and Haunted Hollow is starting the beginning stages of being put together. This coming weekend is the big one where all the helper gather together and set stuff up. I am really excited about it again this year but for me it has an extra meaning for me! Mid months marks the half way point for Durell.

Speaking of that I went up to visit him last weekend. It was a long drive to go up there but it was so worth the drive to be able to see him. The colors were beautiful on the way up but it was raining so I didnt take any pictures. I look forward to going up again in December some time.

On Saturday I got to shoot my first solo wedding for a couple that I have known for about a year or so. -Migraines

-My fire alarm going off all the time for no reason!!!

The fire alarm in my apartment complex is interconnected so when one goes off the entire building goes off. I came home early from work today due to having a Migraine and as I get there I see 4 fire trucks there. For some reason the fire alarm decided to test itself to make sure it worked. There was no fire but it went off any ways. This has happened 2 times with in the last month. I was quite upset when I came home in hopes to lay down and get rid of my migraine and I had to stand outside for 10 minutes or so until the fire department shut it off!!!

Ok that is my small rant for the day!

Keeping Busy...

This last week seems to be a whirl wind because I have been on the all day every day! Here are a few updates from the last week...

***I have declared Tuesdays, Specialty Coffee Tuesdays. Melanie come over and we have "adult" time because her kids are in school. But this last Tuesday we were joined by Stacy & Zander and Talia. It was nice to sit and have girl talk. I always look forward to Tuesdays now!

***Wednesday I went with Krystle to get her EEG and MRI done in Appleton. I hope they figure out what is causing her to have these seizures (we aren't sure if they are seizures but I call them that because of what they look like). It was a long morning of waiting for the tests to be complete.

***Thursday I went to Marion convention. It was nice to be there especially since it has been quite some time since I have been there. It was great to see a bunch of people again. I also got to spend time with Ashley and the Kids since they were there too.

***Today and tomorrow I picked up over time so I am working 16 hrs both days. I dont really mind doing it too much but I have a lot of other things that need to get done before next weekend.

Random thought...Anyone else hate the fact that it is getting dark at like 7 now?

Anyone know how it feels to dump boiling hot BBQ down your stomach? Well if ya don't let me tell you that it hurts worse than being kicked by a cow (not sure how many you know how that feels either but I'm going with it).

Late this morning I was getting ready for school and wanted to eat before I left so I stuck BBQ in the microwave to heat up. When it was done I was moving it from the microwave to the counter and I didn't push it back far enough on the counter and it tipped over and went all down my stomach. Oh yeah the best part was I was holding it with my shirt so there was about 3 inches of my bare skin that it got on! After changing really quick and cleaning it up I left for school with a very sore stomach and no food. On my way to school I looked at it and noticed that there were blisters forming on it already. I have 4 blisters on the 3in x 5in burn that I currently have on my stomach!

Note to self: Push items farther back on the counter!

Last week Thursday I went to Melanie's house to spend the day with her while the kids were in school. I was there all day and the kids had gotten home and her youngest son Brent started to draw with chalk on the driveway. Today at work my co-worker was telling me a story about a couple of guys from London (I think that is where they were from) who adopted a lion cub when he was just a baby and raised him till he was a year old and released him in to the wild because he was too big to take care of. After about a year they tracked Christian (that is what they named the lion) down to see if he remember them...

I am stopping the story there because you just have to watch the video. The video goes into more detail about the whole experience with Christian. Too Funny...

At EAA Dad like to get his campers in early if possible. This year was nothing different he got them in 5 days or so before the show started. A day or so after Dad had them in a guy came along and was painting lines letting the campers know that their units could not go past the white line. Now I'm not sure if Dad knew the guy or if the guy just didn't really care but instead of having Dad move his unit he just did this!!! When I saw it I just laughed and shook my head! Leave it to my Dad to get what he wants at EAA!!!

Since I have received my camera on Thursday I have been just trying to figure it out and taking pictures of random things. Tonight I snapped a few pictures of some signs I have around my house. Tally got me the 1st one and Carson bought me the other two. So the picture is not the greatest but it is one of two bruises I have. This is my left leg and I have a matching one on my right one. Tonight Dad decided we need to band his calf (we take their man hood, for the people who don't know what that means). Well there were 4 that needed to be done. The first 3 weren't that bad but we saved the biggest calf for last. Any ways long story short, we chased him in our home made squeeze shoot and as I went to close the back end the calf decided he didn't want to stop at the other end of it and took the shoot down as he keep running and as I was trying to hold it in to place and in the end I wound up with 2 bruises, 1 sore ankle and a very sore back. He doesn't look that big but wow does that boy have some power!!!

We have finally decided on a day to go to the Brewer's Game. Tally has wanted to go to one with all of us siblings since the season started, and now that it is almost over we finally have a date picked out, Sept 4th. I am excited to be able to go to one. This will only be my 2nd game EVER so hopefully they will do better than they did my first game!!! Next I want to go to a Packer game, but dont know how many of my siblings will go with me because they are not as big of football fans as me!

Thought this was too cute and had to share. So, I came home tonight from mom and dad's and was in the middle of cooking dinner when my phone rang. I looked at it and saw it was my brother-in-law Matt (except I knew it wasn't him because he only calls me when Ashley is with me and doesnt answer her phone.) Anyways, I answer it and it is Ally Bug. I start to talk with her and can hear Ash in the back ground telling Ally to give her the phone. Ally keeps talking away to me and refuses to give Ashley the phone until I say "Ally can I talk to mama". I finally get to talk with Ash and she tells me Ally wanted to call me.
I guess Ally picked up Ashley's phone and said my name. Ash told her she had to get daddy's because mama's was dead. So Ally runs over to Matt and is saying my name because she wants to talk to me for some reason. While Ashley is telling me what has just played out at their house I can hear Ally tell mama she wants to talk to me again. Ally and I talked again for a while and then Ally decides Spencer wants to talk to me and puts the phone up to Spencer's ear. That went back and forth for a while till Ash told Ally it was time for bed. Well, doing what kids do Ally started to throw a fit. I told she could take me to bed with her and she had to give mama and daddy kisses and she could take the phone and go to bed. Not thinking she would do it. Well did she prove me wrong. Next thing I know I hear Ally giving kisses and saying night night to mama and daddy. Ally then tells me she is going na-night and tells me she loves me and lays down in bed.
Then Ashley made her mad and took the phone away! :( I had to share this because I thought it was way too cute. I love you Ally Bug!!!

Keeping Myself Occupied!

So it has been awhile since I posted anything of importance. I know I am a slacker when it comes to this thing! Couple of things that are going on in Keisha's world...

1. Starting next week, school starts for me. I am pretty excited to go back. I will only be part time but it will keep me occupied and make the next 157 go by fast, hopefully.

2. I am going to be getting a new camera in a couple weeks, I am super duper excited about that! Along with that I am getting a new lap top so it will be easier and faster with editing photos.

3. I have a wedding to shoot coming up next month. I'm kind of nervous since it is only my second wedding but I am excited. I was going to ask Ashley to help me but she has a wedding to shoot the same day!

4. My little brother is 18 turning tomorrow! I can't believe it. I remember him still being the annoying brother. Well he isn't too little any more but he is still annoying. Love ya Carson.

-It has been a little over a month now since I moved in to my new apartment and I still love it. It is so nice to be on the lower level, no more hauling groceries or any other thing up a set of stairs!

- I am currently looking for a second job. My work is refusing to give me over time now due to me having way too much in the beginning of the year. So by them doing that makes me need another part time job.

-I have my class schedule for school this fall, I will be taking 2 classes completely online and then I have one class that is a blended class (meaning mostly on line but 5 classes on campus through out the semester) unfortunately the only time they had available for that class is on Saturdays. So yes I have to go to school Saturdays! Booooo!!!!

-Also wanted to know where this summer is going? It is hard to believe that is already July 8th. WOW, I shouldn't complain because I am excited for the beginning of next year because Durell will be home by then!

We had a good time on Sunday seeing the Packers play each other. For those of you know who know me well, I LOVE Donald Driver! And can't wait to go again next year! I took so many pictures but I figured I would only post a few.

I will be a student again. I spoke with a counsler at NWTC and will be going back to school for phlebotomy! The couse is a short one and I should finish it with in 1-2 semesters, depend on how much I want to talke on in the fall. I am super excited to go back and hopefully this will lead to a better paying job!

Ever have one of those weeks where nothing goes your way? I can't wait till this week ends because nothing is going right.
It started off when I forgot that I had picked up a shift for work in Stevens Point on Sunday night. I had been on the go all day and had to go to work with NO sleep. I got done at 6am and had to be back to work at 8 am that same morning and work till 4 pm. It was one of the longest days at work EVER! Finally when I was able to sleep I couldn't because I was worried I would over sleep because I had to work at 7am on Tuesday morning till 11pm that night. I had to fit laundry in after work on Tuesday night but still needed to get to bed kind of early because I had a team meeting at work at 9am on Wed. morning. Any one guess what happened? I over slept my alarm clock and missed the meeting completely! OOPS. When waking up I had a terrible migraine and had to go back to bed to get rid of it because I had to work at 3pm today!
So far my week has been crazy and I hope that it calms down. I can't wait till my week gets over. Oh yeah did I mention that I have been moving this week to a new apartment. June 1st cant come soon enough!

I was looking through pictures on the desk top at my parents house and found this picture of Tally, Dad and I at Haunted Hollow last October. We were freezing but we had a good time and I was so glad that dad made it out for a short time. This is the first picture of me and my dad in over 2 years. I really like it. Can you tell I look like my dad? lol

Back to school

So as most of you know I graduated last May with an Associates degree in Occupational Therapy, but since then I haven't done much. I haven't taken the state test due to fear of failing and not really wanting to practice OT any more. So I have decided that I am going to be going back to school. I am going to find something that I am going to do once I graduate. I know I will do something in the health care field but have not narrowed it down yet. I will keep you all posted when I decided on what to do and where to go!
